Default CEL flashing

Just got my car back from a full rebuild on wednesday.

The last few days it has been driving fine, until last night, when it seems every couple times i accelerate, the CEL flashes 5 times then goes away for a little bit, then when i accelerate again, it flashes another 5 times.

It doesnt seem to lose any boost/power or anything, im just worried about what the code would be as i only just got the car back from the rebuild. Would there possible be a sensor or something that has come loose?

As i said, it has been fine since wednesday, but last night it just randomly came on.

Cheers guys

Car is misfiring.

Take it to the workshop ASAP. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.

Edit: Haven't got the green plugs under the dash connected?

As Kato said, if you've been fiddling under the dash on the driver's side, did you plug in the green connectors?
If so unplug them, they're not supposed to be used.
But take it to a workshop immediately, there may be a code stored.
Pretty sure Bugeye STI doesn't have misfire monitoring.

F
What Kato said...

The car will still be drivable with the green plugs connected, if, as Kato suggested, they are still connected.

Did you fit a light weight flywheel by any chance? Sudden excel and decel cause CEL lights to go on too.

Yes, they put in a lightweight flywheel as well. I took it back to RaceTorque and they plugged in the computer and found the code... Something about a cam has shutdown due to a dicky solenoid or something?? They said its still perfectly safe to drive with it.. Ive just loss power (which is rather noticable)

thanks mate... Now i got more problems haha...

I got rear ended on a cruise on saturday, and now when i turn the steering wheel, it like creaks and sometimes jitters (not often though). Obviously somethings been damaged from the accident.. Would it be the driveshaft or the rear diff??

It's possible the rear drive shaft assembly/diff or suspension got damaged. You will have to take it in to get looked at. The structural integraty might be compensated too. All depending how hard you got wacked. Something moved for sure, question is what?
