The thing that gave it away as the autronic sensor was the shape of it, and the style of connector.

By the way, (if you have DCCD) your DCCD isn't controlled by the engine ECU - there's a separate DCCD controller. Keep the autronic, there's nothing wrong with it.

DCCD is the little thumbwheel next to the handbrake.

Your board will likely be an autronic SMD - which is the 99/00 plugin. You'll also have the non-immobiliser links setup on it, for the jap spec cars. If you sell it, to change it to Australian spec you'll need to reconfigure links on the board.

I have a factory ECU casing if you're keen to replace your dodgy el-cheapo casing

Getting access to the tune is easy, you just need to make up a lead and plug it into the laptop - do that and post up your .CAL so we can see how much boost you're making and how safe the tune is.

I'm sure you can find someone to fly in and tune your car for you for the right dollars

How cheap do you guys get cars over there? Sounds like half the island is WRXs!

g.

Yer, I have the DCCD.

Does that mean if I were to install a immobiliser (since it is compulsary to do so whe nI ship my car over to Perth) would that affect the ECU?

Hmmm, I am interested in the factory housing! This whole morning I was wandering where I can locate one!!! I will PM you?

Ray Hall from Autronic is quite helpful... Very quick to reply to my e-mails! He said I will have to buy a PC data cable and he told me which software to download!

Actually I was collaborating with my friends... half heartedly discussed about sending a person over to tune our cars

We get our cars pretty cheap - but the catch is, most of the time, we only see our cars via online, not in person and that can be risky!

Examples of prices:
94 WRX's $5-8K
97 WRX $7K
94 Nissan 200sx $7-8K
Evo 4 $7K
03 350Z over $25K+
03 evo 8 $20K+
My 99 STi Type R $1.....K

These prices are estimates and may/may not include shiping...

I will organise a car shoot and post it up

Thanks

If going to Singapore/Malaysia, I guess so. We get stuff from mainland tax exempt.

I can recommend Spl1tSecond at Unit1/88 Briggs St. Welshpool. Ask for Kim T and say that Sammy from Christmas Island sent you
