Default 2012 WRX....Upgrades?

So guys, just picked up a new 2012 WRX...in icey silver

Are there any upgrades I should be looking at (<$5000 total) that I'll benefit from? Normal driving, putting the foot down a few times, but no track use or anything.

Cheers

Just to add to this.. you can't go turbo back exhaust unfortunately as you will lose the warranty.. and I believe the only tune you can get is an EcuTek (Subaru don't seem to care about this tune for some reason??)

Isn't always user friendly and depends on tags used.
Then again, could have looked over a few of the existing MY08+ introduction threads to see what people have done already.

That and we are all n00bs at one point in time, some still are

P.s I hear that the Gtworx kit is great!

I deleted that comment you arsehole ;-) I thought.. hangon... that's mean.. I won't say that.. but there it is.

P.S I forgot to ask... Sedan or Hatch?

If Sedan, you could always buy Tony's MY11 STI Rear wing.. I think that'll make it look awesome.

Just to clarify, the warranty for the rest of the car is not affected, only the engine, turbo, etc will not be warrantable. And only if something fails anyway.

Of course Subaru cares about Ecutek. Its still a tune, it will still void your engine warranty if something fails, and will definitely void the warranty on the ECM if a bad flash kills it. Highly unlikely though with Ecutek.
But a normal dealership can't really prove a tune has been carried out without sending the ECM back to Subaru for testing.

But, on topic, what Teejay said.
Exhaust, tune
Front and rear swaybars
Coil over's would be best but failing that, lowered springs.
Braided brake lines
Front and rear strut braces
Wheel alignment

Maybe just drive it around for a bit and decide what YOU think needs fixing (power / handling / cosmetics etc).

But tint, do that asap.

Book it in for a skidpan down at the RAC/AHD driving center at the airport.

As huggy said then see what you like and don't like.

Or if you not a track nut, follow TJ or Soksta's advice on mods.

Do they really make a noticeable difference? I haven't read into it to be honest, but have noticed more and more people doing this mod.
