Default Down Compression

I did a compression test on my engine, and its really low on compression in 1 cylinder, and a little bit in the 2nd.

Was just curious as to what might be the cause of it being down compression. And ive been told that its a rebuild for it. I would of thought it would just be change the cylinder heads over etc, not a whole rebuild?

probably just a head gasket but obviously there could be something else wrong.

all depends, if you dont know take it to a workshop and see what is actualy wrong then go from there.. head gasket from subaru is about 110 from memory.

regardless engine has to come out (so much easier).

This sounds like your piston rings are cracked, oil goes through the cracks of the rings and goes throughout your engine causing loss in power and compression of the cylinders. Will increase your oil consumption greatly, and your idle will be rough and bouncy at times.

They'll need to open your engine and do a total rebuild, or for the same amount of money you can buy a brand new EJ207 block. It would probably be cheaper to get a brand new block. From the way your redlining with antilag everywhere you go, I'm actually not surprised.

Do you have a stock motor ?
