Default dccd settings, the mysterious switch..

There are 6 settings on my dccd (06 sti) top one is lock-50 50 next 3 down are orange arrows then the bottom 2 are green arrows... Anyone know what position is what distribution? I have checked the service manual up n down and it explains how it works but nothing of what each setting is.. Checked other forums and here with not too much luck.. Going by feel i think the 3 orange are progressive biases to the rear and the green are front bias but i am just guessing. Is there any solid info from subaru on this?!? Any ideas what is what?

with the 06 STi your bias is only 41:59
the 35:65 split was found on the gc8 dccd boxes and earlier model GD 6 speeds.
Im not sure on what increments are with the dash lights but the pictures above would be a close estimation.

Not sure of the percentages, but the more arrows down, the more drive to the rear and less to the front.

Thanks Dzenci.. Judging by the diagram the top locks the centre diff in and the bottom one makes it lock the least reducing the transfer to the front wheels. The split is not major anyways but i think they had eliminating understeer and keeping balance in mind instead of ass hanging style drifting of the old setup. What gc model subies had the dccd? thinking just the 22b?

Didn't the RAs have them too?
Russ you're right: Subies don't drift, they slide with style

All the RA spec's had then, the S201 I think and I would assume the 22B, once I get mine to select reverse I shall get a chance to see how much sliding they can do

All the Type RA's and Type R's had DCCD and any model based on them (i.e. 22B, S201 etc). So JDM GC's from 1992 onwards could have DCCD.
Intra and JDM_STYLE like this.
