On a vehicle like a wrx, performance with economy, the clutch designer has to reckon on a bit of hard use so you expect a few compromises like clutch judder now and again on the classic model, my94 to my00,
the bugeye and later do not have it (?).
A shopping trolley JoePublic car like a RX should have a smooth take off all the time. So, Adz, I accept your explanation about the extra complication of AWD, but Subaru overcame the problem in their design and a refit should be to the same standard.
