how much to replace the air con condenser in a 90 liberty,regas so thats its cold in the car again,got one quote $700 is that too much if so who can u recommend,thanks

Is that the radiator looking thing? (Cause I believe I have one of those for that shaped liberty)

Its new, unused, direct from Subaru 10+ years ago when I had a 90s liberty diagnosed with a leaking part, (thought it was an evaporator) cost about $500 then.

Evaporator is in the dash and condenser is infront of radiator.

Both will look like a radiator except the evap will be alot smaller!

Daryl, if you get it degassed i can fit it for you if it saves any money! Will just need to regass after

had the air con tested due to lack of cold air and was told it was the condenser, behind the grille in front of the radiator

I wont be able to tell you where the leak is because you need a uv light, however sometimes the dirt will collect around the area so it is obvious. Bring it round anytime you like, im home by 4:30 mon - thurs and home by 3:30 on friday.

Or weekend if you like, can tell you then how long it will take to change

Had a bit of a look in the more likely places this afternoon, and came up short, will have a better look tomorrow, hope it didn't go to the tip when we had a bit of a clean up a few years back (pre WRX days), don't think it would have as it something that could be handy one day...
