Ok from todays work.

Reset ECU (however it was weird when i did the plugs and turned to 'on' all the lights were on. I depressed the Accel pedal and then took it to halfway then all the way off and nothing flashed or came on. I proceeded to drive it for 10 seconds and the light began doing the 'ok' flash just on and off constantly.

I drove it for another minute or so,

**** is it worthwhile to note that when it was in reset driving i didnt boost i just drove on vacuum the whole time, could hitting boost levels cause the ecu to limp away...***

Took it home, read the ECU there were no codes. Just the constant flashing.

Took it for a drive, hit boost in second and it went up to 10psi so i thought this is good news.

Went out onto the highway started to boost second shifted then boosted 3rd, psi went up to about 10 then dropped down to 8 or so.

after more driving at 8 only it dropped to 6

Now its stuck back at 6psi.

There are no codes

When turning the car to 'on' the BCS still stays closed again (cant blow or suck through it )

Could this mean leak somewhere??

Thanks for the help

hmm something i was wondering about, the STI uses a different size olive..its larger right?

could this be effecting the boost that much?

anyone have a sti boost olive i can borrow for 1minute to see if it changes anything?

nothing shows up. just the constant blink on and off.

here is a photo of my vacuum and pressure setup.

1. Goes To the T of the wastegate-compressor
2. Goes to the intake pipe
3. Goes to the manifold (i assume its part of pressure sensor circuit)

Whats the red circled thing?

Swapped some hoses around on the the BCS etc, still the same.

When you turn the car to ON is it meant to open the BCS straight away? Cause mine stays closed.

It does cycle when in diagnostic mode.

I would put the original WRX ECU back in place and diagnose from there.

i did think of that however you need to swap a couple of pins and im not sure which ones they were..i didnt want to get into more trouble by cutting wires etc.

It would be a good start now i have the gauge to see if thats the problem.

I wouldn't do anything, I'd ring the guys at STechnic tomorrow and let them know I'm on my way in.

With any luck it's a quick fix and you'll be back on the road boosting away like normal.
