So its set the loading on the spring with A, lock up B, set the height by winding C to the appropriate spot, and wind the shock body down to C using A & B which are locked together. Check that C is locked tight and your done.

Straight roads are for fast cars, twisty roads are for fast drivers. I have or am neither.

Essentially. Except once A & B are locked together you just B and it turns the whole damper down into the bracket. I used C as an indicator of how far I wanted to go so once C was sitting on the bracket I knew I had gone down far enough and locked it in.

^^^ fair enough, but if you use A you lock it further into B if your lowering the total height, and B if you were raising, to reduce the risk of unlocking A & B.

It's as easy as A, B, C!
