Doing a build atm, shooting for reliable 300kwatw.... Have spoken to a few places in qld, rigoli(damn they like thier name and price accordingly...but they do only build top shelf) and a few other places over east.

...its all not cheap stuff, but as it stands currently a std 207 engine will be tougher than anyone in perth can build !

Most interesting quote from a syd workshop so far, seem to know thier stuff.

EJ257 short, forged rods, pistons and race bearings $5500 - all new, 300kwatw with right setup and turbo, you want it to rev tho it requires much spent on heads.

2.35/2.4 stroker, closed deck, all quality forged, new EJ257 crank - $5000

Still looking, currently driving around with a stripped block in my boot seeing what people can do .....won`t really know whats what for sure until the chicken hatches.

EZ30R Long block - $2,500
Motor fully built, including:
Forged Pistons
Rods, springs and valves
Block sleaved
Bearings
Custom Cams VVT
$13,000
Looking at this option or I have a workshop in the US doing similar work, they will send me pistons rods springs etc and get it all built over here by RMS.

I call bullshit on that comment

theres a lot of workshops in perth who can put together a very touch and reliable motor mechanically for you..

its the tuning of it that gets most workshops into the poo, when it comes to tuning theres only a couple of people in perth i trust.

The EZ30 is on;y 20mm longer than the EJ20

There is less room at the front but a custom radiator will fix space issues.

No Idea which turbo yet, space is going to be the biggest pain in the arse. Its very pricey I know but when I get back from Europe I will begin

there are mechanics in this town that do what they wont to do and not what the client asked and payed for, theres plenty of evidence of this type of work around with out the need to bring up names... which is a major concern in forking out a nice bundle of notes to build tough motor only to find you purchased a lemon......hence tony flood is finishing off my axis short motor........

would have to agree denver....

mind you I think alot of people underestimate the cost of a motor. Paticularly if you go down the road of wanting heads as well. sure a short block might be 2500, but it is just that, no pistons, rods, rings, heads, gaskets head studs...labour....

long block is 2500.

13,000 includes labour

Normally you look at 10k to build a block for the ej series
