Can anybody tell me a good place in perth to build an engine. Just want to do some work on a project block, sleve it etc. I have some pistons, springs rods etc to change also. Any suggestions?

Had the hatch engine (close deck) built by RMS. No complaints. Leighs worth a visit at the very least.

I'll use rms for the project for sure but I thought there might be other places better suited to building the engine. I'm thinking of making it a weekend project but I can't sleve the block etc.

I might chat to him again about it yeah, shipping ot east adds way to much cost. I mean its going to be at least 10k to build this block plus shipping and messing around east is a last resort.

I think it comes down to what you want to do. Not sure if there's anyone in WA who can do a decent job with a 2.5.

My engine was built by Leigh with the minimal of requirements as the block he had to work with was already a close deck (RA) unit. He also did some work on the heads and cams.

No one - buy an ej207 sti short motor and save yourself heartache and money or ship it east to a company with a 'valid' reputation and 'experience'.

Perfourmance in QLD is a good start. Great reputation for built motors!
