Hey all,

n00b question but hey...any idea why the shift light that is standard with the STi comes alive and beeps multiple times once shift mark is reached?

Is it because I have hit the shift point and havent changed as yet?

Dont know about yours but I can set mine to a certain rpm and when it lights and beeps I change.

Hey Josh i tried it last night and held the rpm after the shift light/sound had happened. I did not beep/flash multiple times...go figure hey.

I will have to try and figure out what I normally do to set it off. Nice try though.

Oh sorry, I think I misunderstood.

It beeps once you reach the RPM and the light will stay on until you shift. It will NOT continue to beep and/or flash.

But mine does on some instances. If I hit the shift spot it beep once and falshes, however sometimes it beeps three times.

I had the GF browse the manual quickly on the way to work this morning - but nothing. I might have a closer read tonight. Will let you know how it goes...

It's not a single beep, like a stutter.. I turned the thing off anyway

it beeps 3 times when u go past ur shift set-point.
You can turn the beep on or off or even the shift light by stopping the car and fiddling with the speedo knobs.

you dont have to shift at your set-point. It doesnt do anything useful anywayz...
