Default Engine Stalling

Greetings fellow Pwx's

On a couple of occasion's over the last week my car has stalled at Traffic lights/ Stop & Give way sign's..
And when driving at normal road speed's the car has stalled when driving and fired again ( IE rpm's go from 2500 to 1800 and have nothing no power then back up to normal rpm) and have power and thottle usage back.. when it stalls I turn ignition off and back on and it starts up
Car has just had minor service a week ago and a major service 10,000 k's ago

Done some searching and am thinking, air fuel module, o2 sensor, knock sensor.. But am not 100% sure
Car is a a 2005 Wrx Impreza Wagon
No mods that I know off
other than CBE
not sure if it has a tune

any help would be helpful or if any one else has had this problem

Has it got a Brant alarm? If so .. i'd put my left nut on that being the culprit.
Slap Dash likes this.

Yeah, true - but the immobiliser component under the dash is known to be a dog while driving. If it activates/plays up, you get the exact symptoms you have said.

I had the same issue a while ago.

My advice is to rip it out before you spend $1000 on new fuel pump, injectors, spark plugs, AFMs, retunes etc trying to find the issue.

Just my 2cents.

Mine (06 Sti with ecutek tune so not overly similar) stall ed when coming to a stop at the lights etc.

One workshop looked for a leak in the inlet but found nothing, possible for you, they then wanted to take the inlet manifold off but ran out of time. (no probs with this as they didn't fix the problem, but also didn't charge me which isn't bad for 5 hrs work)

Went else where for a tune, as I wanted the boost level dropped, but the original tuners didn't want to do this, and that fixed the problem.

So check for leaks on the intake system, and check that there isn't any mods you don't know about. (visit a shop)

THIS^

Had similar symptoms couple months back. Put up with it for a while. Until one day it cut out while driving Down hill in traffic.

That was the last straw, took it to Mao at Evo R identified 2 faulty parts of the Brant. Removed & Have not had an issue since.
