I've notice my WRX making a whining noise from the front when turning right. What might I be looking at..?

No noise while driving straight!

True, just putting it out there. I always thought CV's made a clattering noise!

srsly though noises while turning are probably CV related, but its hard to diagnose "noises" over the internet. take it to a workshop

For sure, now I think about it whining is likely to be diff or power steering pump. Check for the fluid level in the power steering pump res and check the gearbox fluid level as your first steps.

I'd go steering first. Old Lib had leak and low fluid level caused a noise.

Open the bonnet and get a mate to turn the steering wheel lock to lock, if you hear a whining noise then its possibly your power steering pump
