Doesn't the sticker on the inside of your fuel flap say 98RON fuel only? Think that's what all the shit was about. It's like feeding a champion racehorse on the undigested bits of grain from another horse's shit...most of the goodness is gone!

Wrong the wrx manual says 95, the sti says 98 subaru designed the engine but the trolls on here know more? its absolutely fine to run a 06 wrx on 95 octane, the wrx ecu has maps and sensors to sort out the differences between 95 and 98 no harm will be done to the engine and its still an awesome car to drive either way, as for your comparison I'd hardly say 95 octan is horse crap compared to 98, 3 octane difference give yourself a break

No need to get defensive, it's my mistake...my 05 205 powered WRX has a nice big sticker stating 98RON only and the manual concurs I believe. Clearly with the 255 they altered the tune.

I said 95 is undigested grains, 91 is the actual horse crap!
