Help diagnose my Dak Dak -Bang?
Car is sold now but for reference:
Had surging and a rattle from the turbo area. Was the Turbo up-pipe.

Up Pipe cat failure is reasonably common on that model and produces the symptoms you have described. I would lean toward that as a likely fault.

Will a TD05-16g require bigger injectors? I have 440s

Another common issue is the heatshield on the up pipe rattling. Set of Kando/ebay equal length headers, decap your injectors, turbo, tune you'll not recognise the car. Injector size will come into play dependent on boost level

Cheers Jester, Not sure about equal length headers.. Not keen on making it sound like a Honda :P
Decap my injectors sounds a bit complicated.. How many cartons of VB will you require to do this? Haha

Ok. Big thanks for the above link. I'm picking up the Grimmspeed uppipe on Tuesday and will look into the injectors / turbo over the next week.

wrt injector de capping dremel tool is your friend, very easy to do
