note the quotation marks around the word need.. you missed the point of my post completely. I agree with you its a very good idea to get the car tuned but you dont 100% absolutely need the tune(in this instance i am talking about pigs and betty's) just like you dont absolutely 100% need the fuel pump.

....no you don't absolutely "need" a tune, but if you don't, your '06/07 engine will pop...unless you drive like a nanna all the time....the guy is seeking good reliable advice...this is good reliable advice...it has been covered ad nauseum on this forum...

I know people who run pigs with no tune and a tbe, their engines haven't popped (yet) but I tell them to get a tune all the time.

Apart from that I am agreeing with what you say and was one of the first to tell the op to get a tune, I don't know how your interpreting my posts but I am not suggesting the op skips getting a tune...
