Braided Brake Lines
Looking at fitting braided brake lines to my car and yes I do track the car.
I was looking at getting either the HEL or the Goodridge lines. Apparently they are both ADR approved but was wondering if anyone has any opinions on either or has used them or can make any other recommendations. Thanks |

My car before the WRX was a Civic TypeR and the general thoughts for that model was Goodridge trumped HEL. I am sure some more learned member will chime in with their scooby knowledge.

Not sure if I'm a "learned Member"
But I've got a set of Hel's and run Motul 600 fluid and I'm pretty happy with them... Was pretty easy to fit up, Car Mod's had them at a pretty reasonable price if I remember correctly.. Remember, the lines will help, but good pads & fluid will also aid in pedal Feel & Feedback .. |

Hel brake lines are good, had them in my Silvia and never had a problem.

I have goodridge with mutal 600 on my car, haven't had any issue (knock knock), but I can tell u with brake cylinder stopper, they work even better. ss brake line increase sensitivity of the first half of travel, brake cylinder stopper increase the second half.

I've had HELs and they were a fair bit longer than stock for my car (they were rubbing on the wheel). Besides that, te quality of the item was awesome. I'll probably be going custom for the next time around, based on my stock lines.

This dont sound to good. Been doing some research and found you can can get them made locally at Brakequip dealers around Perth. I might look into these and find out prices etc. They are then no doubt at all ADR approved and hopefully guaranteed to fit |

Just had a look HEL's website, looks like their products are not specificly designed for different cars (correct me if im wrong), but goodridge does(ie my rear lines are shorter than front, it sounds to me they're test-fitted), their kit comes with everything you need, fastners, washers etc...

My hel rears are shorter than fronts. Mine were pretty close to a perfect fit on gc8. Zip tie them up to the struts if they are hanging out.
