I've found the ol' 90deg angle trick usually fixes the problem. Basically the way the inlet is designed trips the 'safety mechanism' so you dont have any over spray if the tank is full.
Can get kinda annoying, but after a while you'll put the handle on an angle without even thinking. -Paul |

Yeh this happens to me as well. I asked the guy behind the counter at BP on charles st and he said "even though the tank has breathers, the fuel rushes in and and air cant get out". So hence why putting the nozzle in upside down sometimes helps cos it lets the air out and the good juices in! Bloody frustrating though!!

The other day i had to park really close to the pump coz some dick was to far over and it happened to me.
Maybe it has something to do with the extention of the hose aswell. Maybe try parking a little further away from the pump Note: This could all be coincidence to feel free to flame away Eratic |

Don't put the nozzle in fully, you should notice a groove on the spout, rest it on the mouth of the fuel entrance, I'll post of pictures next time. Should work in the normal position if done so without settin off auto shutoff.
