Default Beltronics sti problem

I have had this in my car for a while now, but have hardly ever used it coz all the k band warnings frustrated me, last week i realized i could turn off the k band warning and still use it, as it will still pick up KA and laser signals. Anyway i have noticed that it keeps coming up with a false laser signal. I was even working on my car in my garage and had the bonnet up, with the radar pointed straight at the bonnet and it still went of with a laser warning.

any ideas?

Does false laser alerting continue to occur if you turn K band on?

I get false lasers occasionally, like im talking once in a blue moon, and the only similar thing i can put it down to is a high end SUV driving towards me, whether it's their hid or collision avoidance gear I don't no.

May even be a coincidence. This is with a V1

If you have a lot of false alerts - you can disble it with GPS using Escort 9500i You can press mute tripple to eliminate it manually. Or use auto learn. You have to buy detector with special international firmware. USA firmware will not see some new K band guns on 24,000 ghz. And you can not update database. That's why you have order intl firmware detector.

With the V1 I get false k band alerts with some Audi's and end cars behind me... Not sure if it's adaptive cruise control or lane change assist stuff.

Had a false vitronic poliscan alert from the Blinder I have on the front on leach highway though....

using the Perth-WRX mobile app
