Default 05 WRX - Spring under Intercooler

Hi All,

While working on my car a couple of days ago I noticed the Spring under my Intercooler was only connected at one side (as per the attachment).

I have connected the other end to whatever that is in the picture.

Does anyone know what this spring is for and where I connect it?

Cheers.
