Adjust coilover preload
Hi, all,
I recently increased my coilover's preload, because there was some clicking noise coming from the front while I turn full lock at low speed. Now that noise is gone but another rubbing noise appears, it's very hard to notice though(maybe i'm paranoid), but sounds like metal(maybe spring?) rubbing against rubber(there is a rubber washer between spring and locking ring). I didn't remove the strut from the car to adjust the preload, so I'm worried about if I set zero preload with control arm and brakes pulling the shock down, does that equal to some significant preload has been applied compared to when strut is off the car? And should I set right hand side preload higher, ie 5mm more for both front and rear if i'm 80kg and using 8kg/mm spring? Thanks in advance, guys.
