Default Fuel Filter Alternatives?

Is there any decent alternatives to having to fork out ridiculous money for Geniune Subaru Fuel Filters?.

Ive just bought one today from Subaru and when I was told the price I was horrified! $55.00 for a Fuel Filter!!?.Ive only had the car a few weeks and trying to get the serviceable items replaced as I don't know how long they have been on the car for so had to just pay up for that filter.

Surely there are cheaper and still decent quality Fuel Filters to be found?.

Also while Im Here can you guys confirm that the plugs I recently fitted are correct for 2001 WRX = NGK Plaltinum PFR6G . I'm now seeing on other sites guys using NGK PFR6B instead? whats the difference? the ones I just installed were given to me by the previous owner when I bought the car.....

Ryco or wesfill fuel filters are fine. Turbo spark plugs are normally iridium and replaced every 100000 kms. Obviously this will change depending on driving condition, fuel, boost and any other problems there may be

Wow mate you have no idea. Some fuel filters are $200 and up, I think $55 is a great price, especially for a good quality genuine fuel filter that will fit correctly.

The plugs that you are talking about only have different design ground electrode. Pfr6g has a racing ground electrode design.
