Car on accel is making use of the fuel being pumped through it through the combustion process.

Car on decel often does not burn all the fuel, and the popping sound is the excess fuel igniting in the exhaust. An atmospheric bov changes the amount of air registered by the sensor and thus ecu and thus adjusts by usually adding more fuel, making a bigger bang.

No issue at all.

Haha. Had a play with the popping with my car yesterday. I guess we shouldn't call it popping. Its much more a bang. We were in an empty warehouse with a few very nice cars. I found out I have launch control hit limiter for a bit huge puff of smoke extreamly loud bang and alot of people walking around concerned for the guy trying to video the flame coming out. Even set off my forst car alarm (: haha
