Probably stating the obvious but coating and/or wrapping to keep hot along with a re-tune will net best results.

Multiple arguments on tape/ceramic coating. Keeping the heat in is good for power delivery, once hot, and poor for weld lifetime. Wrapped and ceramic coated header welds seem to fail.

I've had CC headers on the wrx and my rally car. Ones on the wrx haven't had any issues since coating, the ones on the rally car lasted the length of time that I had the vehicle, and from what I'm aware, still on the vehicle with no dramas. Not a fan of wrapping however, but that's merely my opinion.

Ive always done both, do need to re-wrap occasionally, only had some slip join bracket thingys crack on my old car with X-Farce headers. Have Perrins on my current car since 2008. So about 5yrs with CC and wrapping with no issues.

The wrapping does deteriorate so need to allow for cost/time to fix as needed.
