I thought you meant the fronts...

Im using semi street/track pads and squeal front/rear under light braking but under firm braking they're quiet...is that whats happening to you or just always squeal whatever type of braking...

I was only trying to tell you that a minimal amount of squeal with aftermarket pads on brembos is quite normal.

Dont how bad yours are squealing

I have pmu hc+ allround, only rear makes noise too. Im going back to bspec equivalent soon, which imo will solve it.

U should have rear ones slightly more street friendly than front, it won't heat up as quickly as front, hence the noise.

Also, I replaced rotor with the pads at 40k, maybe look into that? Sti oem rotor doesn't last very long, and I think 3rd gen has even thinner (softer?) rotor than 2nd gen.

Ye oem rotors are out of the question i rang subaru..... $1400 PER ROTOR!!

It only squeals when i am coming to a complete stop just before i stop if im high speed braking doesnt make a noise. Anyone know any brake specialists they would recommend?

That sounds quite like the light braking squeal I mentioned... its quite normal for brembos to do this with better performance geared pads... live with it like all of us.
Btw you changed pads or rotors? Thought was just pads from your first post.
edit: Always get your rotors machined when new pads go in, always helps. And you don't need new rotors unless they're completely used up

Ive had all four rotors machined twice now. And bendix gtc and general pads now for performance all all thats what i am using now.

The subie is really starting to annoy me now, im really contempating selling it and getting a bmw 335 or m5. Or a gts with a big blower on it. Am i starting to loose my mind?

I wouldn't use dealer parts except coolant just because I can't flush old one all out. Just get ebc or dba rotors, and use less aggressive pads at rear.

Basically I wouldn't touch any of the pads you've used.
I assume you installed them yourself...did you put the anti squeal plates/shims back with them and did you bed them in? All new pads need to be bedded in and there is a process for that...you shouldn't just chuck 'em in and drive off.

I used Pagid RS yellows (with DBA 5000 rotors) when I had the '06 STI and they rarely if ever squealed and they are a competition pad. A reasonable street-performance compromise would be something like a Bendix Ultimate or a
DS2500.
Often the squeal can be set up by the driving style glazing up the rotor and pads. I suggest you seek advice from a reputable Subaru workshop (not dealer!).
