As nauli said... there is a bedding in process. If 3-4 sets of pads are squeeling like 50 cent hookers then the blame is leaning towards the driver imo...

I assume you installed them yourself...did you put the anti squeal plates/shims back with them and did you bed them in? All new pads need to be bedded in and there is a process for that...you shouldn't just chuck 'em in and drive off.

I used Pagid RS yellows (with DBA 5000 rotors) when I had the '06 STI and they rarely if ever squealed and they are a competition pad. A reasonable street-performance compromise would be something like a Bendix Ultimate or a
DS2500.
Often the squeal can be set up by the driving style glazing up the rotor and pads. I suggest you seek advice from a reputable Subaru workshop (not dealer!).

^This.

Just buy any ceramic brake pad and your problem will go away. Semi metalic pads is the problem.

Are the shims fitted to the back of the pads?
Aftermarket pads dont' come with shims, only genuine pads do, so you have to reuse them. they are there to stop the squeal.

This thread is so funny.

Get genuine pads and rotors. Non genuine pads are plagued with problems, we wont fit anything else now days to any vehicle.

If you fit aftermarket at half the cost then what do you expect?

I run ds2500 pads which are very noisy but i dont mind the braking performance but if i was driving normally i would easily spend $300 on a set of genuine pads
