Default Dead battery

hey, i went away for 2 weeks and came home to find my 06 wrx battery flat. Electrics still turned on but the brant keypad wouldn't illuminate and the engine wouldn't tick over.
I jump stated the car no worries and it was fine for a day but leaving it over night left the battery flat again. So i jump started it again and left a trickle charger on it. I tested the battery first and it was showing it was holding 12v. I left it charging for a few hours and re tested and it was showing flat battery condition and the car again wouldn't start.
Its an RAC battery which i have no idea how old it is. I'm assuming i need to pull this battery out and replace it but am weary of the brant system.

After searching i found the info about the 2 man job and disconnecting the neg terminal for a while and putting in the code on the brant but was wondering if this is a definitive thing that is going to happen or a possible thing.
Also is 2 weeks really long enough for a flat battery in your opinion??

Changed battery. When I disconnected the positive the Alarm went off but it was a very muffled and quiet sound. Put battery in. The car started fine with out having to enter the pin. Seems strange but I've driven it to get fuel and to work and not once has it needed a pin to start. The brant pin pad doesn't even light up except for the number 1. Even when I lock it the immobilizer led flashes but the pin pad does not. Unlock the car, get in and it starts with no code.
Did any one know why? Is this because it needs to be reset or possibly it's stuffed?

Search for the brant manual, think its on here somewhere.

Fairly sure your in valet mode. When you turn on the ignition, one of the numbers should light up, this how many starts are left till the code needs to be re-entered.

Seems you are right jeckle. Thanks. I have 3 starts left until valet mode exits but I'm not sure if my code Will work or if it will need to be reset so I've booked it in to get the brant keypad replaced by an after market one just to be safe. Thanks.

There must be a function to cancel the valet mode.

Bob

Theres not, the function is to turn the key from off to ignition (not necessary to actually start the car) and back to off the remaining number of times.
