i thought wheel bearings made more of a rumble, this is a high pitched squeal?
Is there a way to check a wheel bearing or just replace and hope? Thanks

Well got under the car and could shake the hub by the axle similar to the above vid. It's not nearly that bad but looks like I'm up for a new bearing! Matty got it on the head by the looks. I thought failed wheel bearing rumbled but lives and learns.

No probs mate.
I had a wheel bearing let go on my GC8 a few years back and it made a squeel / creak type sound when turning right (LHS bearing) |

Well seems I have got lucky. Read the comments for the above vid and gave the hub bolt a tighten. Got literally 2mm out of it and the noise is gone. Hurray for cheap fixes!
