Method at standard level
Default Ej207 gdb

Hey peoples
So got a wrx that has had a ej207 short block installed.. vipec ecu.. arp head studs..coworth 272 cams(head ground out to suit) upgraded valve springs.. vf22 turbo..fmic..exhaust..sti engine mounts.. and a few other things...guy I got it off says its running 19psi....

Question is... is this boost level going to cause damage to motor... would rather have it last then boost...

Any help or info would be great thanks pplz

Boost level is fine provided it's got a good tune to match.
Seeing as how it's already got an aftermarket ecu, I'd say it's been tuned to suit.
Can always chuck it on a dyno and do a power run to check your air/fuel ratios.
Doesn't cost much for your peace of mind.

Plus with cams that size, it'd run like a bucket if it wasn't tuned.

It's tuned just asking if 19psi is a safe boost level... To make sure motor is going to last

19 psi is nothing for a forged 207 I run 22psi in a standard Wrx 205 motor no problems yet, says said before it's all in the tune.

It's not a forged motor... It's a gdb 207. Think they only have coated piston skirts in then...

Australian delivered gdb 207 short motor will be forged if previous owner bought a 207 short block in Australia to fix car and throw all the nice goodies onto it.

Was most likely a brand new ADM 207 then. Is there a receipt for it?
