Default Enkei Gtc01

Hey all,
Looking at some new rims soon
Hopefully the enkei gtc01 but I'm stuck between sizes either 18x8.5+35 or 18x9+40. From my app the 18x9s will sit out a fraction further but I'm more worried about the inside clearance to the coilovers, I have BC BR but the rear may rub so I'm not sure how wide I can go without any major issues since the rears on my coilovers are quite a lot wider than the front.

Also I have an 06 sti
Also thinking 255/35/18 rubber, could get hankook ventus rs3 that size for the 9 inch. (265s are cheaper would they be worth a look at or too wide?)
But also looking at Bridgestone re003 and advan ad08 as and option.

Any help on the fitment would be great as to if I can go the 9 inch

18x8.5+35 with 235/40R18

Will clear the coilovers and brakes, will sit flush with the guard without rubbing. and those size tyres will keep you speedo accurate. So i would personally go with that setup..

If you really wanted the 9"wide then i would be looking at getting this done to the rears (otherwise it is very likely that it will rub, depending on what height your car is at)

That sounds good
I would have liked to go 9" but stuff that, too much effort when i have a much cheaper option.
If i did go the 9" would i have to add much camber etc if i didn't want to roll the rears

EDIT: Looking at 1010tyres offset calculator it says that the 9inch wheel will only sit out 1.5mm more than the 8.5 at +35
