If you want a decent organic Exeddy for street and track go see Mick at Japline he gets a kit made up with the sports pressure plate and heavy duty Exeddy clutch plate same combo he uses in his cars I think there around 700-750 from memory .
The Competition Clutch stage 2 is what I use and it does have a heavier feel then the Exeddy but it does also have a heavier pressure plate . If it was just a daily id look at the stage 1 Competition Clutch or Micks Exeddy combo as the extra heavyness is a pain in stop start traffic . Be aware the stage one is only rated to 350 flywheel horsepower from memory before she will slip. |

His kits are good for at least 400 id say as he runs one in his EVO . Late Evo and Subaru 6 speed use the same clutch . Have fitted 2 from him to cars with 300+ ATW and haven't had an issue.

oops sorry. this one is a 5spd kit. push style.
its done very few launchs actually. I didnt start racing the car until i did the driveline swap for fear of braking the teeth of my 5spd gear set. I did do a WAW night and maybe a few good traffic light launchs.

Okay I'm gonna go for that kit then, Mike quoted me $675 for supply of the kit, would you recommend I also go there for the clutch installation? Trying to find a cheap garage to fit my clutch!

That's up to you mate Mick has a good reputation so why not . His work doesn't get complaints . Or Stechnic . May as well get him to do it . Then he will back it up for you if in the unlikely chance there is any problems . Sent from under my Dok Dok Last edited by amtrapid; 29-10-2015 at 03:37 PM. |
