Stock 98 oil pan OK for track?
After reading up on oil starvation issues, I am little concerned whether the stock 98 WRX (EJ20"G") oil pan is OK for track use or will it contribute to oil starvation issues and bye, bye engine.
Do I need to stump up for the killer b motorsport pan and pick-up (or similar) to be able to track the car safely? Or can I just head down to the track with the standard oil pan to start with and "everything should be OK"? The car has a vf34 @ 15 psi (so quite slow by subaru standards!), if that matters. |

Uhm I am running stock oil pan on my car with lots more boost than you and tracked often, have not experienced this oil starvation issue you are talking about.
