Header flange re-facing
Could you guys recommend a good place to get my aftermarket exhaust manifold flanges machined or re-faced?
Preferably someone who has experience in doing boxer manifold, as both flanges need to be on the same "plane/level". I've asked a local machining shop, and they said they only do inline manifolds because they can then guarantee a perfectly flat surface. They wouldn't do boxer manifolds because even if each side is perfectly flat, its terribly difficult to get both sides equal to each other. |

Maybe your preferred exhaust shop could have a go at it? Or at least they could advise someone that could?
The head flanges are like 550-600mm apart outside-outside so yeah it's a little bit more difficult to level.

since they are bolted so far apart i'm sure that its not necessary that they are dead even from the left back to the right bank
