Nope, it's in the blocks upper rear right hand main oil gallery - fitted via an OEM oil gallery adapter.

Whats everyones oil pressure then, ie cold isle, hot idle, hot max? I only have a defi pressure gauge, sensor at stock oil light hole.

Here's a pic of where my Defi oil Temp sensor is located.
Top left of the pic is the turbo compressor outlet, on the right is the Throttle body. This gallery feeds the RH head & turbo. Temp sensors in sandwhich plates only give you the oil temp after the heat exchanger (oil 'cooler') which is a false reading..........Info care of Crawford Motorsport.

650kpa cold idle. 210kpa hot idle @750rpm. 710kpa @~5300+rpm. Penrite racing 10w40.

Oil pressure doesn't keep an engine alive (as opposed to popular belief) oil flow does.
Why? because it removes heat from the bearings & keeps you oil below the temp at which it loses film strength - it's the oils film strength that prevents metal/metal contact.

Conventional used oil analysis tests do not measure film strength.

THe oil pressure and flow rates given in the workshop manual are given at an oil temp of 120degC, so I would say that an oil temp of between 40 and 60 degC is less then optimum for fuel economy and performance
