Default Coilovers and tuning

Let's bring out the scoob questions!

Searched extensively to try find an answer to this question, and nothing. So either everyone already knows the answer - or its a stupid question (the latter more likely)

What's the go with coilovers in re. to retunes? Is it necessary to get a retune once they're installed? If so could someone give me a run down on the reason as to why?

Cheers.
