I don't do any track days, MC or other motorsport, so do i need to bother?? What is the advantage of having one?

I would not worry about it.

The logic is that it stops the firewall flexing as the master cylinder is trying to push some fluid down the lines to your brake calipers. i.e. the theory is that the brake pedal will be a little firmer. It is however it is totally unwarranted on the street.

I dont think you would get any better braking performance whatsoever it may just be a little easier to modulate the pressure going to the brakes.

it depends how hard you like to jump on the brakes, i felt a noticable difference on my forester although i think they are more prone to firewall flex than the wrx, if you do get one steer clear of the cheap e-bay ones, they are useless, the cusco & mrt ones actually work (i have an mrt one) this was one of the last things i did after fitting bigger brakes with braided lines

If its still the same pads on the same rotors, you really won't see a huge difference for any extended periods of breaking as this upgrade will not decrease fade etc....but the initial feel/bite is 10x better with one of these. My XT is only street driven but I love the initial feel and the fact you don't seem to have to put your foot as far into it when braking hard.

Bought a cusco one, thought fark it, cheap so I'll give it a go - I've always thought the rex has pretty average pedal feel, so hopefully it'll eliminate that.

placebo effect perhaps? I installed the cusco brake stopper at the same time I upgraded my pads and fluid and felt like there was some improvement in pedal feel and I am running brembos.

I wont be installing it until after I've fitted new pads, machined rotors and new fluid. So I'll drive it after all that, then fit the BCS and see whether it feels any different. If not, it was only $165 with free shipping.

Stick it on. Mine was stuck on in the parking lot of AHG, so it's not hard
