Sucks man...2015 seems to be the year of engine builds.

Get 625+ head studs as a minimum and some decent gaskets in the process.
Definitely do the oil pickup and if you have some coin left do the baffle while the short block is out too but its not as important as the pickup.
That IAG short block looks great but 475bhp sounds a bit like American hp, stages, and dreams there.

Btw you getting the new engine eew tuned too? sorry had to throw that in, just wondering who you going to get to do the run in and tune lol

Isn't black soot on rear bumper/window normal for turbo cars, running rich? Mine always has a light layer?

This is REALLY good advice. Plenty of failures of the stock pickup where the brazing cracks. If that happens it's goodbye engine. I can really recommend the Killer B one. I've just put one in mine and it's extremely well made.

Default Ringland anyone?

Oil pickup is a must... Common high rate of failure & relatively in-expensive.. Killer b is perfect..

Edit* as above!! ;-)

Thanks for the input everyone. I will add the killer B pickup to my list. I thought that it was more relevant to US cars where they have roads made from concrete with large expansion gaps.

At the end of the day it is relatively cheap insurance.

I will have Boosted Performance in the U.S. Put together a break in tune as well as refine it once all loosened up. He does some great work and I have been really happy with his work.

His work = 20psi or was that a directive from you, knowing that you will build another engine in due course?

You're not placing any blame whatsoever on the tune?
