Default Condensation around muffler?

Hello,

I have 2011 wrx running stage 2. It has a invidia q300 catback exhaust. I've been noticing lately that the rear mufflers have a lot of condensation building up around them. Near the seams.

There is enough to drip on the floor. The right seems to do it more then the left. Not sure if it's normal given the colder temps, or has something to do with recently going stage 2?

I don't think it's fuel and I can't hear any exhaust leaks.

Maybe it's always done it and I haven't noticed it.

Any thoughts?

Cheers.

I've tried to post a pick.
Not sure if it will work. Just where my finger is.

What do you mean by 2nd gear tune up Bram?

Cheers.

Being Winter you haven't warmed the mufflers up enough to drive out the condensation from the exhaust gasses, hence giving it a thrash "second gear" style.

yeah. just go and drive the thing hard and let it get nice and hot. this will boil off the condesation and sitting water thats inside your exhaust now.

I noticed my car having condensation in the Q300 tips. Generally the centre ones but never seen condensation on the body.

You obviously need to lower your car! ;-)

As said above, you won't notice this in summer.
