Hey guys, I got 2001 WRX not long a go from a friend thats moving overseas. But after a while it turns out to have front diff problem. do you have any recommendation for what i have to do?

It'll be good to know the estimate price to fix it or I just wanna sell it. Thanks

Take it to one of the reputable workshops;

just fix it mate ... will be worth it in the long run to just keep it and enjoy it personally ..
but as above take it to a workshop .

Cheaper to find another box with the same ratio's, especially if you can swap it yourself.
