Default DCCD standard on a 04 STi?

Hey guys,

Chasing if a DCCD is standard on all STi's? My partner's 04 STi (checked the VIN plate to make sure its an STi) has no DCCD controller. It has a 6 speed and all the fruit but no controller.

Was a DCCD controller standard on an STi or optional extra? or was it just not added to this model?

Added a pic for reference.

Thanks again

Ahh well that explains it then

So I'm guessing it wouldn't be as simple as getting a controller and plugging it in? is there a difference in the mechanical/gearbox/diff side? or is it just permanently on 'auto'?

I couldn't tell you. Best bet would to be to give Stechnics a ring and ask. Honestly though, having had a car with dccd it is a complete gimmick unless you live in snow or track your car often.

Rigtio...

Thanks guys good to know though... was getting worried we bought a conversion or a lookalike.

But having a 207 on the VIN and knowing that the DCCD was an option puts my mind at rest

Wasn't an option, just the Aus STi's didn't have DCCD until 05.

DCCD was standard on JDM GDBs from MY03 onwards.

More proof that JDM>ADM!

DCCD is great, because you can lock it up for track work at a touch of a button.... then disengage when pulling back into the carpark so the rear doesn't bind up.
