PNP TD04L-13T vs TD04-19T
I own a relatively stock MY05 WRX. Current modifications are as follows:
Continuing the theme of trying to keep modifications to a minimum whilst maintaining decent performance I'm considering a PNP stock TD04L-13T, or a TD04-19T. I know the former won't require new injectors/fuel pump whereas the latter will however I'm happy to spend a bit more if the 19T proves to be the better route. Any personal experience/recommendations/insight? Anyone know any local places that I can source these from? Last edited by h2oxide; 20-10-2016 at 12:46 PM. |

A better option would be getting your hands on a 2nd hand vf like the vf48 neil(seagull) is selling .. still a straight swap over but will make much more power/torque once tuned

Who is Neil Seagull? EDIT Plus if you're recommending IHI, why not just go the more popular/common VF34? Last edited by h2oxide; 20-10-2016 at 01:35 PM. |

He is a user on here currently selling a vf turbo
.. not saying it has to be that exact one just giving an example.. You can still swap to a vf on standard fueling just cant wind it up as much as if you did upgrades using the Perth-WRX mobile app |

Yes spool on a vf slighty later in rev range however the power band is far more useable ...

You will find the best bang for your $ is the VF34 from the Version 7 Jap STI you will need to up grade the injectors at the same time. I have a set of injectors from a MY15 sti that will do the trick, you can fit a VF48 if you like as others have done in the past. send me a PM if your interested |
