$2k to $2.5k for an extended warranty... bargain

RJ999 12-12-2013 01:23 PM

Definitely a bargain!!!

When it's already saved me ~$1200 in labour and parts (work done at Subaru dealer with all OEM parts - didn't cost me a cent...fuck yeah!) and when it covers you exactly the same as the brand new Subaru car warranty without value limits!

its valid for 3 years thats plenty of time left to get heaps out of it.

Now don't need no haters about this and not telling anyone to go get this warranty either, I'm just saying how it's worked out for me with actual facts rather than hearsay and giving some advice to howl who I believe has the same warranty to get that service clause erased and to go nuts with mods without worrying about this...
:)

Thanks.

The warranties have changed a bit over the last few years...whichever one it is just research/read the print/call up, you figure stuff out.
I was only talking about the AHG Auto Assure "Advantage" option which costs like $2-2.5K extra....
Hope you break even soon. ;)

RJ999 12-12-2013 03:09 PM

haha lol no hopefully nothing goes wrong... dont wish that for no one

It's just handy in case something out of normal service item needs replacing...
Also covers the things that you normally wouldn't think of, like power windows/switches/interior items, that will probably be those that will use up that warranty more than anything mechanical.

Anyone know of a workshop that's open over the Xmas to ny period? Need to get some Springs installed asap! Cheers

Why don't you call and enquire?

dnbosiris 17-12-2013 03:12 PM

Tried a few with no luck so thought I'd ask. However just tried WA suspension and they are open. Cheers.

I have tried opening S Technic over the Christmas/new year period and found it just too difficult to operate.
We have plenty of work to do, but the problem is that just about all our suppliers are shut. It's just about impossible to get parts delivered or machining done or radiators repaired or even buy automotive grade bolts and nuts. (not talking about Bunnings spec) In our industrial area even the lunch bars are all closed until the 6th Jan. So we take to opportunity to have a break too.
