Personally my experiences with ASG were always pretty good. I did have one issue with the car after it was tuned but they took care of that for me without any hassles. My car was stuck there for over a week at one point with a starting issue after the turbo change and I relentlessly hassled Nic on the phone for updates - he was only too happy to keep me informed and deal with my calls.
It's all much the muchness now though with them no longer offering the tuning service. I'm sure tokyo will be getting a lot of calls from Subaru owners soon

In actual fact, according to me :/, i felt particularly unappreciated as a customer on several separate occasions. The circumstance described previously was the last and worst time and I can't be fuckd describing in detail the other occasions. Though I will say that i left each time muttering to myself about fkn cnts. Though to be completely fair, I found the tuner to be friendly and helpful in the very limited time I had talking to him. I have no complaints at all about the tunes. Even though there is still a flat spot in 3rd I've had no problems with the tune. But my distinct impression from straightbrim was one of disdain. General tip for knts... When someone is coughing up over a grand for your work, on several occasions, show enough courtesy to indulge the fool in a few Q and A's about their poxy fukn tune. And when that tool tells you he is going to waste a day in fucking malaga waiting, don't send him home without his fucking car!.. Or removed parts. And when you do fuck them around royally, show some basic courtesy. Regardless whether they subscribe to your hommus little subculture or not Remember you are the only one that thinks you're just too fucking cool. All advice general in nature only and does not take into account your personal circumstances. Take a good hard look at yourself an apply as required. |

Anyone dealt with 'the engine shop'. Has a few hot subarus in his collection. Took my heads there to get rebuilt. Spent 2 hours just talking subaru shit with him. Was very very accomodating.

Fuck ASG, they ripped me with a tune that was beyond fucked, I don't think they even tested it up the road....
I had the same thing happen as most of the horror stories here Do not go to those rude, expensive, lying rip off cunts...

Just got my WRX back from Jamie at Tokyo this afternoon -- really nice guy and was happy to chat.
I've got one question however. My car was running rich prior to the tune and I was hoping the tune would resolve that however after getting it back it still dumps black smoke on heavy acceleration. I'm thinking o2 sensor, any ideas? For reference, MY05 WRX; stock engine/turbo, 3-port solenoid, TBE, 18 PSI 160kW ATW. Last edited by h2oxide; 18-10-2016 at 10:06 PM. |

Did you get a print out of AFR's with the power graph? Going by mine, Jamie tends to run a tad on the rich side. Mine was 10.8-10.9. Previous tune (ASG) was bang on 11.2 Flick TMS a an email and see what they think?

Cool to see Dan from tokyo reading and helping out where possible. Always worth checking with your workshop/tuner when you have questions like that.
