Success! Arms installed!
The suspension shop said "they are actually a very good fit". Thanks again to Justin for his work on the lathe. |

Those links are on a bit of a crook angle.
The links are adjustable, not just in length, but also in thier offset. The gold spacers are used for the lateral adjuatment for the links. I apologize, i should have explained it a bit better when you came to get them. There are basically 3 possible settings with the gold spacers. Depending on how you arrange them, this will change the offset of the link, relative to its mounting. Which will basically effect how vertical it is, when looking front/rear, as seen in your photo. The 3 settings are: A - With both spacers away from the link. (Like how yours are pictured now) B - With just one spacer towards the link, and one away. C - With both spacers towards the link. (What i would recommend for your car) If you want, you can bring it round some time and i will set them up for you for free. Depending on individual setups, including which bar/arm combo you run, and ride hieght etc, it will change the angles of the links. Which is why i have used the gold spacers as a way to adjust for this. I really should make some fitting instructions for these links. As i understand its not clear. Especially when a 3rd party fits them. And i am definetly not the best at explaining the principle of how they adjust.

I did think of that when I got under the car to have a look, about the links being on an angle....
Edit: will this current configuration be a problem for street use? Any help on adjusting them would be appreciated, cheers! Thank you! Last edited by matto20v; 10-07-2018 at 08:48 PM. |

The effectiveness of the link to engage with sway bar is reduced on that angle. You will get more swaybar effect with the link in a more vertical position.

I popped into the suspension shop on my way home this arvo and showed them this piece of info. They've added a spacer to top and bottom of each one, pic attached. Last edited by matto20v; 11-07-2018 at 09:42 PM. |
