Think you wind the pre-tension of the piston to the BOV tight if you want that "cha cha cha" sound. However.. thats bad.

Get a Pod Filter, and then take off the bov and block off all associated pipes. DONE!

Beware though... Doing this causes your turbine blades to rapidly deccelerate when you close the throttle. This rapid decceleration puts a fair bit of pressure on the bearings on the turbo. Running no BOV will significantly decrease the lifespan of your turbo. But dont worry, TD04 WRX turbos are cheap. Of you can afford to replace it when it dies, go for it!

Get a Pod, FMIC and run no bov and it will flutter off its nuts!

As mister two said beware it will shorten the life span of your turbo and could chip the blades.

In seriousness, you wont 'replicate' the sound. Your best option would be a pod filter (be sure to isolate it from engine bay heat or its a step backwards). Furthering that a change of bov will give you all the noise you want, bearing in mind an external venting bov on a factory tune will reduce fuel consumption due to overfueling off throttle.

How will it chip the blades?

my 32 had ppl thinking I was a Melbourne Leb ... it fluttered hard. 100mm fmic, long pipes, no bov , k and n filter.

Liberty is similar, pod, hks bov, long pipes 75mm fmic, and it flutters pretty hard too... cant really stop it.
