hi boys got a 99 rex that i brought 4 months ago.It has had a full rebuild 5 thousand km ago and im using redline 10w40 oil.I was wondering what brand oil and grade everyone is using in there rex and weather the oil im using is ok for a rebuilt engine.

Im using Motual Tubolight but I think all decent oils will do the job properly in a mild street car. Everyone has different opinions on products but the most important thing is it (and the filter) gets changed regularly...

5W-30 is probably okay for a standard WRX. If lightly modified I would go up to a 5W-40 or 10W-40. For track work and heavy abuse would use a high quality 10W-40 or 15W-50.

I use mobile 1 5W50. Seems to be all good.
