Default VF22/P18 housing

Hey guys im considering buying a VF22 with a P18 housing instead of the larger P20 housing because i dont want the lag with the P20 housing.

Now what are your thoughts how would this go compared to say a VF34?

Anyone ever done this before?

Thanks guys!

except the vf22 os roller bearing and the vf34 is ball bearing.

The result will be similar to a vf30. Same top end, but slightly more lag.

So would be better off with a VF30 because less lag right?

Or even better a VF34 correct?

I reckon dont bother fuckin around with mix and matches. If you dont want the lag of the VF22, buy a VF23.

A VF22 isnt laggy if used with proper supporting components, anyway.

Ok thanks guys i wont bother then.

If i do get a VF34 i will be keeping the P18 housing the 15 will die off the 18 will give me that little bit more towards redline if im not wrong?

Plus the VF34 aint that laggy either.

the 34/p15 combination works ok here,
it depends on how much power you want to make.

A vf36 would be the best bet if you willing to spend the dosh on a twin scroll set of headers and sump.

a vf36 is basically a twin scroll vf34 with a p25 exhaust housing. Apprantly sppols up 500rpm sooner.

Ask Spikey... He has a vf34/p25 twinscroll. I have driven it. It feels like a v8... almost no lag at all and still heaps of top end power. Last time I spoke to Spikey, he was making 215kw atw with this setup.

This combo will spool up as fast as a p15 housing but still retain the top end that the vf34 normally has.

Where do you buy a P15 housing if you wanted to swap over from the VF34's standard one?
