Default boost problems

On the weekend i installed a new (china) exhaust, now it was running fine that arvo but the next day it felt like it wasnt making full boost.

I dont have a boost guage yet but i took it too maximum motorsport and they plugeed there laptop in and took it for a drive and he told me its only making 10.5 pounds

my car is a my02 STI
the only other mod is a pod filter

has anyone got any ideas y this could be happening?

any help would be appreciated
cheers
pete

get an ecu, or a proper retune of the factory ecu and you'll be able to fix all the problems easilly.

Is it a full TBE? If yes, then the ECU will chuck a spaz and revert into limp mode and retard ignition timings.

In limp mode the boost is set at whatever your wastegate actuator is set for.

You will need minimum ECUTEK ECU modification to get the most out of your new exhaust.

Recommend the Verso tune.

Cheap, and works extremely well.

ditto, i'd be steering clear of ecutek purely because of their marketing tactics and limited ability to swap tuner's after the event.
