Default y pipe for bigger tmic

Hey,

I managed to get my hands on a larger tmic off ebay but ive hit a problem when installing it.
I asked the guy i bought it off if it would go right on with nothing else needed and he said yes, but the y hose might be a bit short and i might need to extend it off the mounts.
When i went to install it, the factory y hose was too short even after extending it to fit onto the turbo, therefore not being able to install my tmic.

I was looking through ebay and came accross this........

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=290042170910

Is this what i need to be able to connect everything up right?

it looks the same as the ones that come with the larger tmic so i assumed they were the same ones.

Any help would be appreciated. Maybe some of yous have encounted a similar or same problem?

Cheers

link didn't work for me, so i dunno about the item

but when i installed my bigger tmic, because its thicker than stock, the bracket on the driver side was in the way, so have to modify the bracket too.

it was lucky for me, cos Daryl, the man who sold it to me gave me his modified bracket free of charge, he even spent the effort of sand blasting it, and spray paint it black for me. wat a champ!

this is for a gc8 by the way, may or may not apply to other models

good thing too because the factory y hose is a POS, you'll get more gains from a better hose than you will from the entire new top mount.
